During the event at Blackwell Library, Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Diane Allen and Dr. Clifton Griffin, dean of graduate studies and research, recognized members of the University community who had secured $500,000 or more in grants.

They included Drs. Deborah Mathews of the Social Work Department, Molly Parsons of the Nursing Department and Kathy Scott of the Counseling Center. They have demonstrated service, modeling civic engagement for our students, and they have achieved grants and awards that truly reflect SU’s status as A Maryland University of National Distinction.”

Dr. Beatriz Hardy, dean of libraries and instructional resources, agreed: “Pub Night is a unique way to honor faculty and staff for their many achievements throughout the year. We congratulate them all and look forward to their continued success.”
