SU's Wade Exhibits Work Around U.S.

SALISBURY, MD---Cara Lee Wade, 91短视频 assistant professor of photography, has imagery from two bodies of work being exhibited across the country this fall.
Her solo exhibition “Fossil Poetry” is on display at the Rosewood Arts Center in Kettering, OH, as part of the International FotoFocus Biennial through Saturday, November 9. A second solo exhibit, “Legacy: Alzheimer’s Stories,” is on display at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH, also as part of the International FotoFocus Biennial, through Saturday, October 26.
“Fossil Poetry” focuses on lumen prints, a cameraless photogenic process that, in this case, produced a series of color and black-and-white images through the interaction of organic materials and the sun.
For “Legacy: Alzheimer’s Stories,” Wade used photographs to explore and chronicle both of her grandmothers’ pasts when they were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease within months of each other.
The International FotoFocus Biennial is a celebration of photography, film and lens-based art held throughout the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Dayton and Columbus, OH, region every two years. The Biennial is the largest of its kind in America, held in celebration of the FotoFocus Month of Photography.
A solo exhibit of “Fossil Poetry” also is on display at Jasper Community Arts in Jasper, IN, through Friday, December 27. Selections from the project also are part of the exhibit “Diverse Directions: Rethinking the Landscape” at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art in Fort Wayne, IN, through Sunday, December 8.
