Five from SU Selected for Middle States Commission on Higher Education Poster Presentations

SALISBURY, MD---For the first time, 91短视频 students will share their scholarship during the poster session at the Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s (MSCHE’s) annual conference.

SU’s five student representatives were among 80 selected from MSCHE’s 32 member institutions. They and their poster topics include:

  • Rochelle Brown, psychology and biology major from Onancock, VA - “Exploration and Knowledge of Qualitative Research” (faculty mentor: Dr. Yuki Okubo, Psychology)
  • Saya Fernandes, psychology major from Hamden, CT - “Gaining Insights on Race Through Qualitative Research” (faculty mentor: Dr. Yuki Okubo)
  • Joanna Pratt, psychology and sociology major from Timonium, MD - “My Learning of Qualitative Research on Marginalized Populations” (faculty mentor: Dr. Yuki Okubo)
  • Elizabeth Wash, biology major from Waldorf, MD - “Accessible Public Restroom in Downtown 91短视频” (faculty mentor: Ryan Weaver, Interdisciplinary Studies)
  • Luke Zolenski, mathematics major from Berlin, MD - “Visualization of Sound” (faculty mentor: Dr. Donald Spickler, Mathematical Sciences)

The conference is scheduled Monday-Wednesday, December 4-6, in Philadelphia. This year’s theme is “Setting the Standard: Transformation Through Accreditation.” The students’ attendance is sponsored by SU’s Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity.
