SU Campus to Reopen as Normal January 5; Winter Weather Advisory Issued 3-7 a.m.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory from 3-7 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, in Wicomico County and surrounding areas.

Freezing drizzle is expected during that time, creating a light glaze of ice and leading to slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges. Drivers and pedestrians should use extra caution.

At this time, the campus is expected to reopen Wednesday morning, January 5, with normal operations. Please monitor the SU website, as well as the University’s official and sites, for any updates.

SALISBURY, MD---The 91短视频 campus will remain closed Tuesday, January 4, due to inclement weather.

Classes
While the University campus is closed on January 4, classes scheduled to meet remotely will do so. For students enrolled in face-to-face or hybrid courses, please monitor your email on January 4 for information from your instructors on course activities for the day.

Employees
Essential employees should report to work. Other staff should check with their supervisors regarding work duty for Tuesday, January 4, which may include telework, as appropriate based on operational necessity.

COVID-19 Testing/Vaccine Appointments
All appointments at the COVID-19 Testing Center for January 4 will be rescheduled. Please monitor your email for additional information and instructions.

Time Reporting
Once the campus has re-opened, the Human Resources Office will distribute a campus email communication with detailed information for recording time during the campus closures.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning from 4 a.m. Sunday, January 2, until 7 p.m. Monday, January 3, in Wicomico County and surrounding areas.

An accumulation of 4-6 inches of heavy, wet snow is forecast during that time, with locally higher accumulations possible and winds up to 35 mph. Roadways and sidewalks likely will become slippery. Those who must drive are encouraged to keep food, water and a flashlight with them in their vehicles in case of emergency. Pedestrians should use extra caution.
