National and State Leaders Join SU in Celebrating the Spring Class of 2020
SALISBURY, MD---U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and 91短视频 President Charles Wight are among those sending virtual congratulations to more than 1,500 members of 91短视频’s graduating Class of 2020 this week.
Though Spring Commencement ceremonies were postponed to December due to statewide restrictions to help slow the spread of COVID-19, SU helped graduates commemorate their big moment in many ways.

At home, each member of the class received a celebration box stuffed with SU items, including a special maroon cap with a decorated gold top for December’s ceremonies, displaying a message of future promise: “The best is yet to come.”
In all, some 1,532 seniors were eligible to earn their degrees this semester through SU’s College of Health and Human Services, Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts, Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology, Honors College, Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, and Samuel W. and Marilyn C. Seidel School of Education.
They included some 1,290 eligible for the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Science. Another 231 are eligible for the Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, Master of Education, Master of Science and Master of Social Work. This semester’s graduates also included 10 Doctor of Nursing Practice students and one Doctor of Education student.
Following standard practice, students will receive their diplomas in the mail this summer once final grades are calculated.
