Perdue School Faculty Present at Academy of International Business Northeast Conference

Perdue SchoolSALISBURY, MD---Faculty from 91短视频’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business recently presented at the Academy of International Business — Northeast annual conference in Philadelphia.

Drs. Richard Hoffman, Olivier Roche and Frank Shipper, all of the Management and Marketing Department, discussed “Is Industrial Democracy Relevant Again? Case Studies from Europe and the U.S.” Their topic explored the benefits of shared management and employee ownership through examples including U.S. companies Atlas Container and Equal Exchange, and Europe’s John Lewis Partnership (UK) and Mondragon (Spain).

Perdue School faculty have researched and published extensively on the concept, including the 2014 book Shared Entrepreneurship: A Path to Engaged Employee Ownership, to which all three presenters contributed.

SU research in this area also has been referenced by national media, including MSNBC and The Wall Street Journal, and featured in Rutgers University's School of Management and Labor Relations’ Curriculum Library for Employee Ownership, the largest global online library on the subject.
