SU Center for Student Achievement Earns CRLA Certification

SALISBURY, MD---Each semester, 91短视频’s Center for Student Achievement (CSA) impacts the lives of hundreds of students, providing tutoring, supplemental instruction and mentorship to help them succeed academically and beyond.

Recently, the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) recognized the center’s efforts, granting certification for its tutor training program. Through the initiative, students are able to learn from their peers who have taken similar classes, sometimes with the same faculty.

“Our ultimate goal is to ensure students have the tools they need for success in the classroom,” said Dr. Heather Holmes, SU CSA director. “Successfully completing the CRLA’s International Tutor Training Program Certification peer review process serves as external validation that we are following best practices in training our student tutors to meet that objective.”

“Achieving certification means that the Center for Student Achievement has met CRLA’s high standards for tutor selection, training, direct service and evaluation as an integral part of its overall tutoring program,” the organization’s representatives said in verifying the CSA’s status.

For more than 30 years, CRLA has been a leader in learning assistance, reading and academic support programs, with nearly 1,300 members and over 2,000 certified training programs worldwide.
