SU Honors Sen. Nancy King as Hargreaves Legislative Fellow
SALISBURY, MD---Maryland Senator Nancy King is 91短视频’s 2018 John R. Hargreaves Distinguished Legislative Fellow.
In recognition of outstanding public service, the award was presented by SU President Janet Dudley-Eshbach during a ceremony at the Miller West Conference Center in Annapolis.
“Senator King has spent her career advocating for education at all levels, from K-12 to universities,” Dudley-Eshbach said. “In addition, she understands the important role that technology plays in education and in our lives, and how it will continue to do so into the future. Her efforts have been recognized by the Maryland Association of Boards of Education, and the University is grateful for her work in the legislature on behalf of students, families and institutions such as ours.”

She has served on boards for Montgomery’s Primary Care Coalition and the Lourie Center for Children.
An active Senate leader, King earned its First Citizen award in 2017. In 2014, the Daily Record named her one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women. She also has been honored by the National Biotechnology Industry Organization and Tech Council of Maryland.
