Political Science Minor
We live in a time of rapid change and upheaval, presenting us with challenges on important issues such as national security, rising inequality, the environment and the economy. At its core, politics is about people coming together to advance their common interests.
Why Choose Political Science Minor at SU?
Is a political science minor useful? Our goal in the Political Science Department at Salisbury is to help you gain an understanding of politics, power and social justice so you can become a motivator of change for the future. With our close proximity to both the state capital in Annapolis and the nation’s capital in Washington, D.C., SU is the prime location for students wishing to delve into politics.
Many on-campus opportunities help students grow into their position as future leaders. The Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE), SU’s nonpartisan institute, helps our goal of cultivating students who become actively engaged in local, national and international life. PACE offers numerous events to students throughout the year, including high-profile public speakers, candidate debates and policy forums.
For a more in-depth study, SU also offers a political science major.
